MTS Fundraising Activities

Annual Fund

The Annual Fund provides approximately 10% of Mount Tamalpais School's annual operating budget, making it an essential part of the MTS experience. Every member of our community is encouraged to make a gift each year.

Annual Fund donations are put to work immediately, supporting exceptional teachers, financial aid, innovative STEM and arts programs, and the everyday experiences that make MTS unique.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, more than $1 million was raised through the Annual Fund last year. Every gift, at every level, directly benefits our students and helps ensure MTS continues to thrive.

GIVE TO THE ANNUAL FUND

Big Night Out

Each spring, MTS organizes a fun, adults-only evening for our community to relax, reconnect, and celebrate together. The event features great food, drinks, entertainment, and plenty of opportunities to socialize. Guests can also sign up for a variety of Parties & Gatherings hosted by MTS families throughout the year, making it a wonderful way to build friendships and strengthen our school community.

Nancy Tracy Endowment

During her 40-year tenure at MTS, Nancy Tracy was one of the most revered of the school’s many excellent teachers. To honor her service and recognize future outstanding MTS educators, we established the Nancy Tracy Teaching Excellence Award in the Spring of 2020.

The Award is given every other year at Graduation to a teacher who has been at MTS for more than three years and embodies the spirit of Nancy's excellence in their pedagogy and care for students. The recipient will have the same commitment to teaching, learning, and community spirit that Nancy demonstrated over the years. The award winner will receive a cash grant of approximately $7,500 to spend on a trip or experience that will enrich their professional and personal life.

The Nancy Tracy Teaching Excellence Award is funded by the Nancy Tracy Teaching Excellence Endowment. Income generated from the Endowment will be invested in accordance with the MTS endowment policy. Income in the excess of the Award will be used to fund the MTS professional development budget.
