Student Council & Clubs

Fifth–eighth grade student council representatives are elected by their classmates and serve for a trimester. They are responsible for representing and serving the needs of the student body by coordinating student activities and leading fundraising for outside organizations. Student council members collectively guide the school and their peers in social awareness, and organize opportunities to give back to the community.

Student council members meet weekly and typically work on the following initiatives:

  • Baked good sale
  • Marin Food Bank food drive
  • Turkey Drop for Thanksgiving
  • Spirit Day theme 

The Student Council is guided by the following principles:

  • Elected class ambassadors represent the ideas of their classmates and communicate school outreach and spirit activities
  • Citizenship and democracy is developed and reinforced
  • Participation in weekly meetings and coordinating and communicating initiatives encourages social development and leadership
