Join us as Dr. Devorah Heitner offers a dynamic parent talk detailing strategies to combat the changes in our home life during the shelter-in-place. She will cover topics including distance learning, screen time, anxiety, and understanding kids’ experiences with tech, friendship, and school. She will also discuss how we as parents can model healthy habits for our children, while maintaining much needed boundaries as our home becomes an office, conference room, classroom, workspace, and so much more.
Dr. Heitner is the author of Screenwise: Helping Kids Thrive (and Survive) in their
Digital World, a guide to mentoring digital kids.
Her insights have appeared in the Washington Post, New York Times, Psychology Today, and Real Simple. Dr. Heitner has a Ph.D. in Media/Technology and Society from Northwestern University and has taught at DePaul University and Northwestern University. She is delighted to be raising her own digital native, too.
