After the Bell

Learning and discovery continue even after the school day ends.

From After Care to athletics, enrichment classes, music lessons, to supervised study hall, MTS provides opportunities for students to stay engaged, grow skills, and explore passions.

After Care

After Care

Available until 6:00 pm, Monday–Thursday and 5:00 pm on Friday, After Care provides a welcoming space for students to relax, play, and connect.

Unlimited use $1,000 per trimester (drop-in available)
Financial assistance applies at the same prorated tuition percentage

Enrichment sessions provide hands-on learning and fun beyond the regular school day.

60-minute sessions; $350–$450 per trimester
Led by expert instructors and MTS faculty

K–3: Individual violin and piano lessons
4–8: Private lessons in 11 instruments
Ensembles (4th-8th grade): String Ensemble, Junior Band, and Concert Band

Beyond MTS

Beyond MTS- Athletics

MTS athletes participate in cross country, volleyball, basketball, track & field, and flag football teams.

Most students participate in MTS athletics and on club teams or travel teams in sports such as baseball, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, and skiing.
At MTS, sportsmanship and team spirit are as important as the score.

Beyond MTS- Mathletes

Students embrace creative problem-solving in county-wide tournaments each year.

7th Grade Team (2024–25): Took 1st place in the county, with two students earning perfect scores
8th Grade Team (2024–25): Earned 2nd place county-wide, and two students achieved perfect scores

Beyond MTS – Volunteerism, Arts, and More

Students bring creativity and curiosity to life through service, performance, and exploration. They:

Volunteer with organizations such as the Library Teen Advisory Board, Mill Valley Little League, Project Awareness & PASS, The Redwoods Senior Living Community, and the SPCA
Perform and share their talents with the San Francisco Opera, BAYPAC & PAAM Squad, SF Ballet, and 142 Throckmorton Theatre
Compete in national robotics tournaments, combining innovation with collaboration
Explore passions ranging from welding and coding to environmental activism
