High School Counseling

The high school placement process begins in the spring of seventh grade, with a parent orientation covering the many steps of high school admissions. Individual family meetings follow to develop a plan and action items. The following year, the High School Placement Counselor, along with an experienced team of 8th grade teachers, work with families to find the best fit, both academically and developmentally. Parents are supported with individual counseling sessions, while students are coached in interview techniques and meet with Admissions Directors of various high schools on our campus. MTS also offers a practice SSAT in the spring of seventh grade and then offers it again to eighth graders in December.

Our graduates leave MTS well prepared for the exciting challenges of high school.  They move on to become confident and contributing members of their new communities.
