Breakout at MTS
Saturday, December 2, 10:00 - 11:30 AM
When our 5th and 6th graders are asked about one of their favorite parts of their day at MTS, many say without hesitation...STEM!
From designing the ideal container to keep an egg from breaking when dropped, to building circuits, to guiding bots through the classroom, our students are engaged in productive team work solving problems everyday in the STEM lab.
We invite students currently in 4th and 5th grade to join us on Saturday, December 2, from 10:00-11:30 am for an escape room experience called "Breakout MTS!. The designer and leader of our STEM lab, Trisha Cahill, along with Mike Taverna, Director of Instructional Technology, will lead the students through a series of challenges to escape from the STEM lab before time runs out. Think black lights, code breaking, hidden keys, and lots of fun.
While our student guests are busy solving real world problems, we invite the adults to stay on campus and talk with Head of School, Andrew Davis, and Middle School Head, Dave Baker. Current MTS parents will also be on campus to talk with you and answer questions.
