Visiting Artist Shireen Amini Teaches Layer Song

One of the MTS Strategic Commitments is Committed Exploration, where we aim to "utilize the skills and insights of experts from the broader community to enrich school-wide learning." On Tuesday, September 6, we welcomed Puerto Rican-Iranian singer-songwriter Shireen Amini onto our campus. She led our second through sixth graders through one of her original and very catchy "layer" songs in both English and Spanish. We were excited to have Shireen here and to honor the Latinx community for the upcoming National Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept 15-Oct 15).
