Our Kindergarteners are Researchers!

Our kindergarteners are researchers! Today, our students started writing “All About” books. Each student chose a topic of interest and started by researching their topic using non-fiction books. They read the pictures and the words and drew and wrote important information that they learned from the book. Then, they shared what they found with a partner, and each partnership discussed what more information each student should add.

Later this week, the class will revisit the "All About" books and add more to their writing. Topics range from basketball to sharks to kittens and beyond. It's impressive to see the progress our kindergarteners are making in their reading and writing skills!
