MTS Represents in San Francisco Bionic Race 2024
We had a very impressive MTS turnout for the Bionic Race in San Francisco at Crissy Field this year! Over 40 members of the Mount Tamalpais School community joined in the races. Shoutouts go to our youngest MTS students who ran the mile and a few who completed the 5K! Head of School Andrew Davis completed the race as none other than the MTS Bear.
In addition, a number of MTS middle school students volunteered at the race, helping out with the water and hype stations.
MTS Alumna Dana Ross Rogers '91 co-founded the Bionic Project to raise awareness and acceptance of physical disabilities. The organization visits Bay Area local schools and holds an annual race in San Francisco. Read more about the program here. She and her colleagues recently came to MTS to talk to students and run an adaptive sports clinic for students in every grade level. It was fantastic having them here again!
Thank you, everyone, who came out to support the cause and join the community for the event!
