Mental Health Awareness Day 2025
Our annual Mental Health Awareness Day was another success this year! Lower School students moved through stations that included activities such as mindful eating, yoga, laughter yoga, martial arts, and creating stress balls, gratitude journals, or kindness rocks. They also enjoyed “Forest Bathing” in the Grove – an opportunity to connect deeply with nature in order to calm the mind.
Middle School students started the day with guest speaker Jeff Leikien, creator of Evolution Mentoring. He spoke about how to manage stress using specific somatic therapy techniques. He then continued a session with 7th and 8th graders about healthy decision-making and how to use body signals to help inform the process. Middle School students then moved through their own stations, which included an ADHD simulation.
