COVID and Climate Change

On Thursday, April 23, Stanford Professor Marshall Burke met with the MTS Class of 2020 to discuss climate change, air pollution, and the impact that COVID-19 is having on both of these. Dr. Burke shared some of his research process and findings and then fielded questions from our 8th graders. This is one of several guest speakers that have attended MTS classes during our Distance Learning Program.

Andrew Davis, Head of School, asked Dr. Burke the last question: what advice do you have for your middle school self? Dr. Burke encouraged our 8th graders to be fearless. He said, "Try new things. Do not be afraid to fail. Get involved and be active. I wish I could tell my middle school self to be more fearless."
