4th Grade Field Trip with Marin Water at Lake Lagunitas
Fourth grade had a fabulous field trip working through activities around water conservation, water supply, and habitat restoration at Lake Lagunitas. Representatives from Marin Water led the class through a variety of activities, including a game that had students moving like molecules through the water cycle. It was fun to observe watershed ecology with the students and connect to the community.
Suzanne from One Tam taught students about litter cleanup in parks and other volunteering opportunities in Marin. The hope is that students will apply the service aspect of the day (litter cleanup or through the turtle observer program) in the future. Students and families can volunteer with Marin Water.
