We offer a range of events to experience many aspects of the MTS community. Events highlight various topics and community practices; registration is via Ravenna. We understand that time is limited, please join whatever might be of interest and as schedules allow.

SATURDAY FAMILY CAMPUS EVENTS

Saturday family events are designed to showcase our program and faculty while applicants and their families participate in activities highlighting a day in the life at MTS. After class mini sessions, families are invited to the playground for playtime and an opportunity to connect with current MTS families. Siblings and other family members are welcome!

Experience Arts, Music, and Athletics at MTS

Saturday, November 8, 2025 
9:00 AM-10:45 am with playground time following class mini sessions

Join three different class mini sessions taught by MTS faculty in studio arts, drama, music, and PE. Families rotate through mini class sessions highlighting the school's robust Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and Physical Education programs. After class mini sessions, families are invited to the playground for playtime and an opportunity to connect with current MTS families.

Saturday, January 10, 2026
9:00 AM-10:45 am with playground time following class mini sessions

​​Join three different class mini sessions taught by MTS faculty in science, technology, engineering, and math. Families rotate through mini class sessions highlighting our K-8 STEM curriculum. After class mini sessions, families are invited to the playground for playtime and an opportunity to connect with current MTS families.

SAN FRANCISCO EVENTS

Bus Stop Family Meetup - Main Parade Lawn, San Francisco

Monday, October 27, 2025, 3:45-4:45 pm

Prospective applicant families who live in San Francisco are invited to meet current MTS SF families at a popular MTS bus stop in the Presidio - the Main Parade Lawn - to ask questions and learn more about MTS. All ages are welcome for playtime and conversation!

Thursday, December 4, 2025, 6:00-7:30 pm
Prospective applicant families who live in San Francisco are invited to join us for an evening reception in the home of a current MTS San Francisco family to learn more about why MTS is a beloved second home for our SF families. Join Head of School, Andrew Davis, in his home (adjacent to the MTS campus) to learn more about the school's Strategic Stance on generative AI. Andrew shares how the school approaches generative AI in alignment with our mission and values and within our greater strategic plan. This is an adult event.

Student Leadership & Connection Through “Gather”

Wednesday, November 19, 2025, 8:30-10:00 am

Join us for a Buddy Bear “Gather” (school assembly) highlighting the special connection between kindergarten and 5th grade buddies. Afterward, Head of Lower School, Meagan Andrews, and Tanya Lemmon, Director of Inclusion, will share how our social and emotional curriculum and practices at MTS encourage empathy and support student leadership throughout the program. This is an adult event.

Prospective applicant families who live in Marin County are invited to join us for an evening reception in the home of a current MTS Mill Valley family to learn more from Andrew Davis about why Marin families choose MTS. In her second year at MTS, Director of Inclusion, Tanya Lemmon, reflects on what she's learned about our community's deep commitment to belonging. Tanya shares how the spirit of inclusion is being translated into action, through new curriculum, community spaces, and student leadership opportunities, while building a shared capacity for thoughtful conversations about identity, equity, and access across the school.
