Michelle Patterson |
The Learning Enrichment Teacher aims to provide students in 1st-5th grades with additional opportunities to excel and to stretch their intellectual capabilities in areas of academic strength or interest.
This is accomplished through a variety of creative and engaging activities that spring from their literature books. Lessons include problem solving, manipulating and re-organizing the knowledge they already possess and taking risks with new materials and concepts.
Students are identified and referred to the Learning Enrichment Program by their Classroom Teachers. The Classroom Teachers, the Learning Enrichment Teacher and the Director of School work collaboratively to establish goals for meeting each student’s educational needs.
